There are some extra playoff shirts in various sizes available in the office.

The first speech meet is this Saturday, November 3, in Marion, and the bus will depart DHS at 7:30 am.

Tryouts for the Du Quoin High School boys' basketball team will be Monday, November 5th.  Sophomores through Seniors will tryout from 3:20-5:30 in Anders Gymnasium. Freshman tryouts will be from 5:00-6:30 at the High School. All boys interested in trying out must have a physical and insurance information turned in by the time of tryouts.  Enjoy your week off and we will see everyone on the 5th.

Awesome job FBLA Trick or Treaters.  We collected 990 items for the local food pantry!

November 5th -9th is our annual can food drive  This year Du Quoin High School is competing with other local high schools, like Mt. Vernon, Marion, and Carbondale in total items collected.  Please help Student Council in next week's food drive. Teachers will have a list of items needed in their mailboxes. Every item you bring in helps feed a local family in need.

FCCLA members--Members that went to the Leadership meeting on Tuesday - please return your polo for a tshirt.  All other members can pick up their tshirt from Mrs. Stacey.

Also, M&M tubes are available for the community service project--see Mrs. Stacey to participate in this project.  

There are class ring packets in the office for any student who may not have received one on Wednesday.  There are also senior packets in the office for any senior who did not attend the Balfour meeting on Wednesday.

Freshman concession stand workers needed for basketball season.  Sign up in Mrs. Miller's room. There are only a limited number of games and spots.  If you wish to earn credit, sign up soon!!

The Choices class is selling cookies again today during lunch.
