The Du Quoin Community Unit School District #300 Board of Education is seeking letters of intent from interested individuals to fill a recently vacated seat. The seat formerly held by Josh Williams has a term remaining until April 2027. Individuals must be a U.S. citizen, a resident of the State of Illinois and District 300 for at least one year, at least 18 years of age, registered voter, and live outside Township 6-1.
The letter of intent should be limited to one page and contain a statement of qualifications to serve, including educational background, work history, and what the individual brings to the board as a prospective member and stakeholder in the District.
Letters should be submitted to Denise Hirsch, District Administrative Secretary, at the District #300 Central Office located at 845 East Jackson Street in Du Quoin by noon, Monday, June 29, 2026.
