Du Quoin CUSD 300 Teachers Receive Illinois State Board of Education’s Award of Recognition
Du Quoin, IL – February 12, 2026 – The Du Quoin Community Unit School District 300 is honored to announce that two teachers have been selected to receive the Award of Special Recognition from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) in the classroom teacher and early educator categories. This recognition celebrates these teachers and their unwavering commitment to educational excellence, student success, and collaboration.
Madison Davis received the Early Career Educator Award category, honoring educators who demonstrate exceptional promise, dedication, and impact within the first years of their teaching careers. Her commitment to student growth, strong instructional practices, and positive relationships with students and families exemplify the future of education in Du Quoin.
Teresa Stacey was recognized in the Classroom Teacher Award category, celebrating her sustained excellence in teaching, leadership in the classroom, and meaningful contributions to student achievement. Her passion for learning and unwavering support of her students over 32 years in the District continue to make a lasting difference in our community.
Both educators received the Award of Special Recognition, a testament to their professionalism, instructional excellence, and commitment to the teaching profession.
