Dear Community,

Due to the elimination of grant funding as a result of an Administration executive order, the funding that supports after-school programs in all three schools will end this month. As a result, after-school programming will conclude on Thursday, December 18, 2025. This includes several high school clubs, tutoring support, K-8 afterschool program and related events. Unless the executive decision to eliminate this funding is reversed, the District will be unable to offer these programs for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year.

We recognize how valuable these programs have been for our students and families over many years, and we understand that this news creates challenges. Please know that this decision is not a reflection of the quality or impact of the programming, but the result of circumstances beyond the District’s control.

We invite you to to support advocacy efforts to restore this funding are encouraged to contact our Congressmen and Senators to request that this decision be reversed and reinstate this important programming. Contact information, along with a sample letter and phone script, is provided below. We appreciate your support in this effort.

Please understand that this decision is devastating for our community, with impacts that extend far beyond after-school care to include tutoring, enrichment, and student engagement opportunities. I will continue to communicate updates should circumstances change.
