Dear DES Families,
Next week is our Kids Heart Challenge week, formerly called Jump Rope for Heart focused on teaching students to Move More, Be Kind and Be Ready. During the week, Mr. Geiger will lead students in unique rope jumping and basket shooting challenges during PE. Students will definitely be moving and getting their hearts pumping! The students have enjoyed learning about their heart health and are excited to participate in this special annual event at DES.
We have a theme for each day of the week as follows to add to the excitement:
Monday, Feb. 24 – Camo Day
Tuesday, Feb. 25 – Favorite Sports or College Team Day
Wednesday – Feb. 26 – Hat Day
Thursday, Feb. 27 – Twins Day (Find a friend and dress alike!)
Friday, Feb. 28 – School Spirit – Go Red, Go Black!
By participating in the Kinds Heart Challenge, your child will raise funds to help kids with special hearts and make all communities healthier.
