DU QUOIN MIDDLE SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Here are the final counts for the food drive:  Mrs. Ritter's class still holds FIRST PLACE for the 12th year in a row with 428 cans.  Mrs. Krone's class was second with 219 food items.  The winner of the Big Bag of Candy was also Mrs. Ritter's Homeroom with 116 cans of soup.  Thank you to everyone that brought items in or those who encouraged others to bring items in.  Together, we collected 1,287 food items.  This is nearly 900 food items MORE than we collected last year.  WAY TO GO!!!!

  • For the Month of November, the homerooms in the lead are Mr. James, Mr. Montgomery, Ms. Higgerson and Mrs. Montgomery’s class.  5th grade is currently in the lead for best grade level attendance.  

  • Clothing Donations for the Du Quoin Middle School Band's Tree for the Holiday Lights Fair. The theme of the tree is "Keeping Warm this Holiday Season". We will be accepting winter hats, gloves, mittens, and scarves to decorate our tree. There is a box outside the Band Room and we will be taking donations through the 26th of November. After the Holiday Lights Fair, all items will be given to people in the community who need them. 

  • Happy birthday to Da’Marion Johnson and Natalia Harris.  

  • Lunch today is Chicken Alfredo.
