Dear DES Families,
For this and more we are thankful:

• We are thankful to families and parents who send their student to school every day ready to learn. It’s a wonderful reminder of what is important and why we are here for this community.
• I am thankful for all our teachers, aides, nurses, bus drivers, secretaries, cafeteria staff, support staff, counselors and office personal who truly care about our student achievement and have the best interests of our students at their core. These dedicated and tireless individuals go above and beyond to make sure that great things happened daily in our school. They do make a  difference, and the children of DES receive the benefits!
• We are also thankful for our PTO and community volunteers who enthusiastically contribute so much to our school, consistently looking for new ways to grow and support all our efforts.
• Finally, we are thankful to parents that believe in us and continue to share their most valuable possession with us and work hard as advocates in partnership for our students’ education, safety and welfare.
