School Motto

Congratulations to our lastest Educator of the Month awardees for the months of November and December 2023! Awardees received a DQ thermos and certificate of recognition. 

Mr. Fitch is the senior English teacher at the high school and was nominated by a peer for being an inspiration for students and the learning environment. “He uses unique and interactive teaching techniques.” Thank you for making learning so inspirational and engaging for our students. 

Mr. Sheehan, who is an aide for a student, and was nominated by another student for leadership. The student noted that Mr. Sheehan “thinks outside the box” to "help his student and all of us in the classroom." Mr. Sheehan is pictured with his student nominator - Tinley. "Everyone of the students love Mr. Sheehan." stated a fellow colleague.

Mrs. Boss is a middle school special education teacher and was nominated by a peer in the areas of dedication and community pride. Mrs. Boss is always looking out for kids and volunteers time to serve her school and community.

Miss Kelly, who serves as the high school social worker and 21st Century Program Coordinator. She was nominated by a peer in the area of inspiration and community pride. Her nominator stated, Miss Kelly does so much to help create a high school environment of kindness and care. “Miss Kelly works to create a kindness atmosphere all year long, not just for World Kindness Day.”

Do you have a  Du Quoin CUSD 300 educator to nominate?  They are our lifeline to an exceptional education. Each month we recognize outstanding educators in our schools and highlight his/her achievements. Nominations are accepted by submitting the online form by the 20th of each month. Those nominated will be added to a ballot for final selection. The Educators of the Month will be awarded with a certificate, recognition at the school, website spotlight and special swag.
