Attention DHS:  It's Game Time @ DHS! Homecoming tickets are now on sale through 3 p.m. today.  Permission slips are available in the office. Every student must have a permission slip signed before he/she can purchase a ticket.  Purchase your ticket in Mrs. Miller’s room for only $5. Don’t wait until the last minute to purchase a ticket. Those purchasing tickets today must have a parent come into the office to sign the permission slip.  We have a great DJ lined up for the evening; this will be a HOCO you do not want to miss!

Anyone interested in Student Senate needs to pick up a general membership application from Mr. McChristian.

There will be Chess matches in the library after school today.

Art Club t-shirt sign-up is now available in the art room. Cost is $25 and money is due by October 10th.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes would like to invite all students, faculty, and staff to an event.  This evening, we will have our annual Homecoming Bonfire. This year, it will take place at Du Quoin First Baptist Church.  The event will take place from 6:30-8:00. We will have Chili, guest speakers from SIU, and games.

The Pep Club hopes you enjoy the week.  Please dress to earn points for your class to see who gets the "Braggin' Rights" Spirit Stick at the end of the week!

There will be a representative from Eastbay here on Monday, September 30th to have girls try on team shoes in Anders Gym at 3:00.  All girls who plan on trying out need to stop by and try shoes on. No money will be due at that time.

There will also be an Open Gym on Monday, September 30th from 3:30 to 4:30 in Anders Gym.

Due to the increase in trash in the student parking lot, anyone in 5B lunch who chooses to purchase a school lunch MUST eat the lunch in the cafeteria.  The school lunch may not be taken out of the cafeteria.

Good morning DHS.  Just a friendly reminder that our FFA Blood Drive is TODAY.  As of the end of school day yesterday 76 students, and staff had signed up to donate. Thank you so much for expressing your compassion for wanting to help others and we look forward to seeing you in the DHS auxiliary gym. Please don't forget to bring your assigned appointment card, and your driver’s license.

Reminder to the football players who signed up to coach flag football at the Youth Club, tonight is the first practice at 6 p.m.  Practices are held in the field north of the Youth Club.
