Today’s Lunch: Walking taco OR Chicken quesadilla, spicy beans, Mexican rice and fruit

Tomorrow’s Breakfast: Bacon, egg and cheese biscuit, fruit, milk and juice

Tomorrow’s Lunch: Chicken fried chicken OR Fish sticks, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and fruit

This is just a reminder to all students that Friday is the last day of the quarter.  Be sure you are communicating with your teachers to make sure you are up to date on all of your work.

Congratulations to Chloe Speck on placing 5th out of 31 students at the AgriScience Fair in Mt. Vernon last Wednesday. Her project focus was on Food Products and Processing Systems. Way to go!

Reminder to theatre students, t-shirt orders are due today. Check your email for the link to the order form.

Perry County Health Department will be available tomorrow in the nursing office.  Please see the school nurses for more information.

Come out to Van Metre Field today at 4:30 for the first ever DHS soccer game!  There is a free giveaway for the first 100 fans.

FBLA Meeting tonight at 6 pm in Room 112. You must be in attendance if you are running for an officer position and you will need to be nominated by another member.

Math  SAT prep tonight from 6-7 pm in Ms. Winter’s room. 

English will be meeting Thursday from 6-7 pm in Ms. Fisher's room.

Any Freshman through Junior interested in trying out for the DHS cheer squad is required to attend the informational meeting tonight at 7pm in Anders Gymnasium. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Davis at the middle school.

There is a Student Council meeting tomorrow morning at 7:45 am in the library.

Educators Rising is meeting tomorrow morning at 7:43 am in Mr. File's Room.

Spring sports pictures are tomorrow starting with softball at 3:10 pm.  All individual pictures will be in the Aux gym with the group photo to follow on their respective field or in the event of rain will be in the Aux. gym.  Booster button pictures will be taken at this time as well. Forms are available in the office.

Friday is our inaugural Spring Gatorade Game!  Gates open at 4:30. Come on out and meet the players!

Next Tuesday, March 21st, wear your favorite socks for your classmate, Abbi.  Every year on March 21st, people all around the world come together to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day by wearing brightly colored, mismatched socks.  March 21st is symbolic because people with Down Syndrome have 3 copies of their 21st chromosome. 

Have you reserved your copy of the 2023 Flashlight yearbook?  Time is running out as the last day to make your reservation is Wednesday, March 29.  You may make your reservation on www.balfour.com or physical forms are in the office. 

The deadline for baby pictures and messages is quickly approaching.  Graduating students and their parents may submit baby pictures and shout out messages to the 2023 Flashlight yearbook by creating an account on balfour.com and choosing the ad size.  A 1/8th page ad is $10 and includes space for pictures and messages.  A shoutout ad message only is $5.  There is a $1 processing fee for either option.  They are due to Balfour no later than Friday, April 7.  Do NOT email them to Mrs. Dunavan.

Applications are now being accepted for lifeguards and concession workers for the summer pool season. Applications can be picked up at the city water office Monday-Friday 7:30-4:00. Applications are due March 24th at 4:00 pm.
