SELECTIVE SERVICE REGISTRATION

All males must register with the Selective Service within 30 days of their 18th birthday!

If you're 17 or turning 18, you're required to register with Selective Service. It's simple and easy, but it's also really important, so you must do it.

Federal law says that all men living in the U.S. must register within a month of their 18th birthday. Registering keeps you eligible for college loans, job training, government jobs, and even driver's license renewals in most states.

You can register in person at the post office or just go online at http://www.sss.gov It doesn't matter which way you do it, but you've just got to do it.

When registering via the Internet, you will receive your Selective Service registration number immediately. That number is your proof of registration - for safekeeping, jot it down or print it out. You will receive a Selective Service card by mail within 2 weeks confirming that number. (Note: If you registered by mail, you will receive a card confirming your registration within 60-90 days.) If you don't get your card within 90 days, write to:
