  • To all the Builder's Club members who are going on the St. Louis food bank trip: Plan to come to the meeting on Tuesday, March 26 at 7:30a.m. I have very important information to give you for our trip on April 4th. The next General Meeting for all members will be Tuesday, April 9th.

  • Sign up sheets for the 5 on 5 Basketball Tournament - hosted by the Student Council are in the basket outside Mrs. Mathis' door. Tournament begins March 25. Games will be played from 7:40 - 8:00 daily. It is a 1 game elimination tournament. The cost is $10 a team. All the proceeds goes to NubAbility to help fellow student athletes. TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY TO SIGN UP FOR THE 5 ON 5 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT! AT THIS TIME I HAVE ZERO ENTRY FORMS COMPLETED. IF BY THE END OF THE DAY I DON'T HAVE ANYONE INTERESTED I WILL CANCEL THE TOURNAMENT.

Bus time is 3:15. Benton and Hamilton County will play game #2 at the conclusion of the DMS v. JC game. Regional Championship game will still be played on Saturday, February 2 at 10:00am.

  • DMS girls 5/6 basketball tryouts will be held this Thursday, January 17 from 3:00-4:30. All girls wishing to tryout must have a current physical and proof of insurance to tryout.

  • It is time to announce the new club! There Are 101 students who guessed correctly. The new club is a.....book club! If you guessed correctly, your homeroom teacher has the prize. If you would like to join, go to Mrs Riley’s room and sign the sheet outside her door. The first meeting will be Tuesday, December 11. 5th and 6th grade will meet during lunch. 7th and 8th grade will meet at 7:30 in Mrs Riley’s room. Hope to see you there!

Seventh grade had 2 days of clean hallways, Sixth grade only had 1 day of clean hallway, and sadly 8th grade didn't have a day of clean halls. Let's see who will win next week.   • Here are the Builder's Club members that will be painting nails today: Olivia Lemmons, Alana Bierman, Tristan Frech, Cami Harris, Haylen Sisson, Braelyn Rice, Adison Ichou, Addi Funk, Loni Smith, and Lani Hall during the 5th and 6th grade lunch period. During 7th and 8th grade period will be Lani Hall, McKinley Rider, Madyson Lacey, Sydney Galbraith, Kallie Stevenson, and Ashlyn Waters. We will have other members painting next week.
  • Builder's Club Members that sold Avon for the fundraiser need to come to Mrs. Krone's room to get their orders sometime today. Please try to deliver to your customers as soon as possible.

Let's raise lots of money to help the family of DuQuoin's little princess.

All proceeds will be donated to DuQuoin's own Princess Addy who is currently fighting childhood leukemia. If you would like to donate and don't want your fingernails painted please see a Builder's Club member. We are selling paper nail polish bottles for $1 that will be displayed in the Commons area. Let's raise lots of money to help the family of DuQuoin's little princess.
  • Word Squad is meeting today in computer lab #2. Wear your club shirt! We will work on our Veteran's Day letters and discuss selling concessions for the 5th and 6th grade dance.
