Today’s Lunch:  Chicken quesadilla, spicy beans, and apples

Tomorrow’s Breakfast: Breakfast pizza, fruit, juice, and milk

Tomorrow’s Lunch:  Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, and diced pears

Juniors and Seniors:  A representative from SEMO will be here Wednesday, February 14th at 9:00 am.  Sign up in guidance if you plan to attend her presentation.

ATTENTION STUDENTS!!  Do you have pictures on your phone that you want to see in this year’s yearbook???? Send them directly to the Yearbook by downloading the BALFOUR IMAGE SHARE on your phone.  Please send pictures from basketball games, volleyball games, football games, any sporting event, any Club pictures you may have, pictures from dances, or any candids of you and your friends.  This is your chance to choose the pictures that go in the Yearbook!

Make plans to attend the 2019 Sweetheart Dance and Coronation.  Coronation will take place in the auditorium at 6:00 PM on Saturday, February 16th.  The dance will follow at 7:00 PM at the American Legion. Tickets will go on sale on Monday, February 11th in the FACS room.  Tickets are $10 each. You must have a signed permission slip to purchase a ticket. If you are bringing an out of school/out of town guest, you must have their forms filled out and signed as well to purchase a ticket for them.  Permission slips are now available in the office.

Seniors:  District #300 Educational Foundation scholarship applications were given out Friday, January 25. If you were absent that day, please stop by guidance to pick up an application packet. Thanks!

Seniors: Perry County Farm Bureau Foundation Scholarship is now available. Application must be received by April 1, 2019.  Application is available online at pcfb@perrycfb.org

There will be an NHS meeting Wednesday, February 6 @ 7:30 a.m. in Mr. Jones’ room.

There will be an Engineering Club meeting Thursday, February 7 @ 7:15 a.m. in Mr. Jones’ room.

NHS is selling Malone's Taffy, see an NHS member if you are interested in buying. We have a copious amount of flavors!

A reminder to all students going through the breakfast and lunch line:

Take your time and make sure you get EVERYTHING you want or may need for your meal.

We will not be allowing you to come back through the line, once you leave the exit side of tray line. You will not be allowed back in.  For breakfast you must have 3 things on your tray and must include a juice or fruit. For lunch you must have 3 components: 1 component must be a fruit or vegetable.   Reminder: only 1 dressing packet is allowed per student.

Seniors: The SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation is pleased to once again offer the Peg Edwards Nursing Scholarship for the 2018-2019 academic year! This scholarship, valued at up to $1,000 is awarded to a student pursuing a degree in Nursing. Find more information and application by going to ssmhealthillinois.com.  The application and all supporting documents must be submitted or postmarked by April 19, 2019.

Seniors: If you are planning to attend John A. Logan College the 2019-2020 Scholarship Foundation Application in now open Deadline: Mid-April 2019

On behalf of Coach James and the Basketball Indians, we would like to give a huge shout out to Mrs. Smith and the band, along with the South Siders, Cheerleaders and Indianettes!!! What an awesome atmosphere Saturday night!  It was electric!!!!

Attention Seniors: Baby picture ads are due THIS Friday! Get those to Mrs. Bush as soon as you can.

Art Club Meeting Thursday after school, we will begin putting together the Crush Grams.

The DHS Art Club will be selling Crush Grams Tuesday, February 12th and Wednesday, February 13th during lunch and ELT. Crush Grams include a Crush soda, skittles, and sucker. The cost is $2 and must be paid for at purchase. The Grams will be delivered during school hours on Thursday, February 14th.

FBLA members that are attending state need to sign up for an event in Mrs. Gross' room and pick up a state packet by Thursday, February 14.  If you have questions see Mrs. Woodsides.

French club will have an after school crêpe bake on Monday, February 11.  If you plan to attend, please sign up on Mrs. Dunavan's door.
