ATTENTION STUDENTS!! Do you have pictures on your phone that you want to see in this year’s yearbook???? Send them directly to the Yearbook by downloading the BALFOUR IMAGE SHARE on your phone. Please send pictures from basketball games, volleyball games, football games, any sporting event, any Club pictures you may have, pictures from dances, or any candids of you and your friends. This is your chance to choose the pictures that go in the Yearbook!
The Golden Apple Scholars of Illinois Program is now recruiting high school seniors to apply for our teacher preparation program. Scholars are provided with extensive teaching experience and advanced preparation to supplement their college curriculum, academic support throughout college, college tuition-assistance and support (up to $23,000), and mentoring during their first years of teaching. www.goldenapple.org. There will be Scholar Bowl practice Thursday, January 31.
Make plans to attend the 2019 Sweetheart Dance and Coronation. Coronation will take place in the auditorium at 6:00 PM on Saturday, February 16th. The dance will follow at 7:00 PM at the American Legion. Tickets will go on sale on Monday, February 11th in the FACS room. Tickets are $10 each. You must have a signed permission slip to purchase a ticket. If you are bringing an out of school/out of town guest, you must have their forms filled out and signed as well to purchase a ticket for them.
Thursday is the last day to order boys track uniforms online and sweatshirts, backpacks, and jackets on paper form. Turn paper forms in to Coach Beard.
Seniors: District #300 Educational Foundation scholarship applications were given out last Friday. If you were absent Friday, January 25th, please stop by guidance to pick up an application packet. Thanks!
Seniors: Perry County Farm Bureau Foundation Scholarship is now available. Application must be received by April 1, 2019. Application is available online at pcfb@perrycfb.org
Anyone on Sweetheart who has not had their picture taken for the Magnavox, makeup pictures are Friday, Feb 1 before school. If you cannot make it, please let Mrs. Dunavan know to schedule an alternate time.
