Graduation & promotion events postponed
We can officially announce now that the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2020 and the 8th grade promotion ceremony are postponed. We are looking at dates in July to reschedule these events at a time when, we hope, we will be able to conduct them in a traditional manner. I'll be sharing out more information about the July dates soon.
The postponing of these events though does not mean we aren't looking to recognize our senior class and 8th grade class in the month of May. We are currently working with faculty members, building administrators, the City of Du Quoin, and WDQN on a plan to recognize these students on their original dates for ceremonies - May 15th for seniors and May 22nd for 8th grade. More details will come over the next few days.
We want to thank the senior class officers and senior members of the Student Senate for their input and support. As a reminder, don't forget that Van Metre Field will be displaying support for the Class of 2020 once again tonight at 20:20 (8:20 PM)!
