Any student interested in designing next year’s handbook cover can pick up an information sheet in the office. You must follow the directions and rules on the information sheet. The winning art work will be used as next year’s handbook cover. All entries are due by March 20th.

The winners in Mr. Norris’ room for the best overall and most realistic trench is #4 and the Most creative trench is # 30.
Du Quoin Community District #300 offers school breakfast daily. We offer fresh fruits, low fat dairy products and whole grain options to complete a nutritious breakfast each day. It’s a proven fact that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. When having a nutritious breakfast, it improves attendance, decreases tardiness and behavior. Students have better attention and memory and score higher on tests. The cafeteria will be celebrating national school breakfast week with special menus each morning for breakfast. Thursday will be DQ griddles.
Boys track tryouts will be held starting Monday, March 16 through Thursday, March 19. Tryouts will be held at the high school track and begin at 3:30. All boys in 6th through 8th grade can try out. You must have a current physical on file in the office before you can try out. More information is posted outside Mr. Montgomery’s door.
