Any student interested in designing next year’s handbook cover can pick up an information sheet in the office. You must follow the directions and rules on the information sheet. The winning art work will be used as next year’s handbook cover. All entries are due by March 20th.
The Homerooms in the lead for attendance in the month of February are Mrs. Small, Mr. Montgomery, Ms. Higgerson, and Mr. Hicks. The grade level in the lead is 8th grade.
Du Quoin Community District #300 offers school breakfast daily. We offer fresh fruits, low fat dairy products and whole grain options to complete a nutritious breakfast each day. It’s a proven fact that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. When having a nutritious breakfast, it improves attendance, decreases tardiness and behavior. Students have better attention and memory and score higher on tests. The cafeteria will be celebrating national school breakfast week with special menus each morning for breakfast. Monday-cream cheese filled mini bagels.
Word Squad Scrabble tournament update, yesterday’s winners are:
Laney, Dani Kay and Bellah; Juliet and Lydia; Charlee and Natalia, and Kallie and Aubrey. The Word Squad Scrabble tournament continues 6th hour next Thursday in the library.
Lunch today is hamburger on a bun.
