Today’s Lunch:  Chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, and fruit

Tomorrow’s Breakfast:  Breakfast pizza, fruit, juice, and milk

Tomorrow’s Lunch:  Cheesy breadsticks, salad, peas, and fruit

Attention Seniors- The last day to submit your baby picture for the yearbook is Friday, February 28.  

The Choices class will be selling cookies today during both lunches.

Attention FBLA Members: If you are competing in an event at state, please stop by Mrs. Gross' room and sign up for testing today.

Friends of Rachel Club will have a meeting on Friday morning at 7:30 in the library.

Art Club will have a meeting Thursday after school. We will begin making decorations for the Art Show. Meeting will end at 4:00.

On Wednesday, March 25th Driver Education students can attend the Williamson County Traffic Safety Days field trip in Marion.  Students will get free lunch and a T-shirt. Any student in Driver Education this school year (2019-2020) is eligible to attend the field trip.  Students must pick up a permission slip in the office and have it signed and returned to Mrs. McPherson by Tuesday, March 17th. *Only the first 55 students to sign up get to attend. 

There will be a short Book Club meeting today after school in Ms. Mabrey's room.

There are free tickets to this weekend’s racing events at the Southern Illinois Center at the fairgrounds.  There is one ticket for each student. They will be available during both lunch periods on the table in the cafeteria.

Pet Supply Drive: Du Quoin FFA is encouraging all first hour classes to collect a variety of pet items to be donated to the Perry County Humane Society at the end of the week. Items may be dropped off in first hour classes. Items to be collected include:  Hydrogen Peroxide, Dish Washing Wands, Regular Trash Bags, Self Wringing Mops, Purina One Dog Food, Pure Balance Dog or Puppy food, Purina Cat Chow (blue bag), Purina One Cat food, Purina Kitten Chow, Renuzit Air Fresheners, Kleenex, or Batteries - AA, AAA, C, or D. Class with the most items collected will receive a donut party on Monday.

National FFA Week is February 24-28 - Each day of the week, all students at the high school are encouraged to help the FFA Celebrate National FFA Week by dressing up.  During lunch periods, all high school students are encouraged to participate in the CDE Showcase. Each day a career development event will be showcased for high school students to try. If the students participate each day, they will receive a prize at the end of the week.

FFA Dress Day: FFA Pride Day - Dress up in your FFA official dress, chapter t-shirt, or Blue & Gold - In 1930, the FFA Organization adopted National Blue and Corn Gold as Official Colors of the FFA Organization.

CDE Showcase: Food Science CDE - Students will smell and identify different cooking aromas. They will also taste test different foods to determine taste differences.

FFA Activities: Student Luncheon - Students will get a free lunch to thank them for all their hard work throughout the school year. 

FFA Dress Up: dress up as the career that you would like to be after high school - 1 out of 4 jobs in the world are agriculturally related. The career opportunities are endless. 

CDE Showcase: Veterinary Science CDE - Students will be identifying different animal breeds and veterinary equipment.
