DHS Announcements October 30, 2019

Today’s Lunch:  Country fried steak, mashed potatoes with gravy, carrots, and fruit

Tomorrow’s Breakfast:  Muffin, fruit, juice, and milk

Tomorrow’s Lunch:  No lunch – ½ day of attendance

Have you purchased your Flashlight yearbook yet?  Order your book before Thursday, November 7 to be entered to win one of ten gift cards.  Order forms are on the stand outside the office. The book price will increase in January.  

Tryouts for girls’ basketball will begin on Monday, November 4th. Girls who plan on trying out must have a physical and insurance form on file with the school. We will have open gyms on Tuesday and Thursday this week from 3:30 to 4:30. Also, if anyone plans to try out for basketball but hasn’t tried on shoes, they need to see Coach File as soon as possible.

Student Council is hosting a Halloween Costume Contest on Thursday, October 31.  Themes will be: Best Group, Cutest Couple, Most Creative, Funniest, Most Original.  If you want judged, please stop by the table in front of the media center on October 31st between 7:30am-and 8:00am.  School dress code applies!!!

Attention DHS- Many of our sports teams are in the postseason!  Get your spirit items to cheer on your favorite team! Pep Club is selling red 'DQ Rally Rags' for $2 and small, red 'DQ Cowbells' for $3.  To pre-order your items, stop by Mrs. Miller's room TODAY! Money is due at the time the order is placed and supplies are LIMITED! As always, ROLL TRIBE!

HOSA will be meeting today at 3:15 in the nursing office.  Please bring supplies to make posters for HOSA week.

There will be no afterschool the rest of the week due to parent teacher conferences.

Spanish Club will be baking “Bread of the Dead” this Saturday from 8 a.m. – 12 noon in the commons.  Sign-ups are in Senora’s room (room 209).

There will be NHS Induction Rehearsal for all new members on Friday, November 1st after school in the commons.

All cookie sales will be today during both lunches.

Attention French club members: There will be a meeting at 7:30am on Friday, Nov 1 to discuss the Eiffel bonbon sales.  We need as many members to help with this. Please plan on attending.

Attention DHS, there will be a pep assembly Thursday during fourth hour to celebrate all of our teams reaching postseason play.  CONGRATULATIONS and ROLL TRIBE!

Book club will meet on Tuesday, November 5 after school. Snacks will be provided. Please see Ms. Mabrey if you cannot attend.

Art Club will be watching Hocus Pocus and painting pumpkins (you must bring your own) or working on art works Tuesday, November 5th after school. Pizza will be provided. There is a sign-up sheet in the art room, please sign-up if you plan on attending.
