Today’s Lunch:  Chicken patty, broccoli with cheese, carrots with dip, and fruit

Tuesday’s Breakfast:  Biscuit and gravy, fruit, juice, and milk

Tuesday’s Lunch:  Softshell taco, corn, and a sidekick

Potential FBLA members come to Mrs. Gross' room to pick up FBLA New Member forms and sign up to work at the Fair Concessions. Member dues of $18 member must be turned in to one of the officers or Mrs. Gross by September 10th.

FCCLA kick-off meeting will be on September 4th from 5:00--6:15 PM in the cafeteria.  FCCLA is the student organization for the Family & Consumer Science Department. If you are interested in joining, please plan to stop by the open house style meeting and get more information and grab a bite to eat.  (More info on the food coming later).  

The first Fellowship of Christian Athletes meeting will be held during both lunch periods today. Freshmen will meet in the Drivers’ Education room, while sophomores-seniors will meet in Mrs. Stacey's room.  As usual, the cost for pizza and drink is $3.00. Please sign up with Coach File or Coach Boyett if you are planning on attending.

There will be a meeting for anyone interested in Book Club Friday during ELT in Ms. Mabrey's room, room 119. All grade levels are welcome!

Are you looking to have the greatest time ever? Good news! speech is starting back up next week! Come out and join! There will be auditions for the team. This is mainly to see what you can bring! So no stress! Auditions are next Wednesday, September 4! There will be a sign up sheet for time slots right outside Mrs. Coleman's English classroom! So, come sign up and be prepared to be on a winning team! If you have any questions about speech team, see anyone named Mrs. Coleman!

If you are interested in running for an officer position, please stop by the FACS room and pick up an application.  We will be voting on officers at the kick-off meeting.

Before and After school program will begin September 3rd. We will offer tutoring before school starting at 7:00 and homework help after school starting at 3:15. If anyone is interested fill out an enrollment form in the office.

There will be an Engineering Club meeting @ 7:15 a.m. next Wednesday (9/4) in Mr. Jones' room.

There will be a Chess Club forming next Wednesday (9/4) after school in the library for anyone interested.

An Army representative will be here Thursday, September 5 during both lunch periods if anyone is interested in obtaining more information.

Students, if you have not registered your vehicle to be able to park in the student parking lot, you must register your vehicle and pay the $10 sticker fee by Friday, September 6.

There will be an FFA Meeting on Tuesday, September 3rd at 6:30 in the cafeteria. FFA will provide meat and drinks, freshman & sophomores are asked to bring sides and juniors & seniors are asked to bring desserts. We will also be kicking off our Fall Fundraiser.

Congratulations to the following senior class officers: Co-Presidents Vianey Sanchez and Alex Zimmerman, Secretary Wendell Killian, and Treasurer AJ Rice.  The following students were elected to be senior class representatives: Braylee Watson, Chloe Prather, Braylyn Funk, Maddie Cornett, and Emelyn Darnell. *Everyone listed must attend the senior class meeting on Tuesday, September 3rd at 7:35 a.m. in the Driver Education room.  Tuesday is the first day back from our three-day weekend, so please be responsible and arrive on time.  

Attention FBLA Members:  There will be a short meeting in Mrs. Gross' room today during ELT for all students who signed up to work at the races at the Du Quoin State Fair this weekend.
