Welcome Back to School: Message from the Principal
August 12, 2016
Dear Students and Parents,
Welcome back! As your principal, I am excited to welcome you to another school year. Our goal as educators is to support all our students academically and socially. We will make every effort so all students are successful, well educated members of our school – and be able to succeed in the increasingly complex world in which they will live and work.
We encourage all students to be responsible and to set high expectations for themselves as they reach new academic goals. We are a successful school because of the great work of our students, staff, parents, and community members. We will focus on growing our good school climate and atmosphere to assure that all students, every day, have a positive learning experience.
To all students of Du Quoin Elementary, I am most delighted to have you as part of our Papoose family and for you to be back into your building. We strive for excellence in our service to students, and we are looking forward to serving you. You will form new friendships, discover new interests and strengths, make academic gains, and develop the mindset you need to excel.
Our teachers and staff are here for you in any way possible to help you reach your best. Most of all, we want you to enjoy your time in school. How do you do that? . . . Be involved in your school. Be an active part of all of our activities. Work smarter in class. Make new friends. Together, we can make a positive difference in each other’s lives and in our experience here at Du Quoin Elementary. Let’s all work together to make it a great year!
