MILES OF SMILES

    Miles of Smiles will soon be visiting the school again, to provide dental services to students.  

* Every child in K, 2nd, or 6th grades who returns the form you will receive a free exam by a licensed dentist to meet the state requirement.

* Children from any grade who have a Medicaid or Kid care ID number provided on the form will receive an exam, cleaning a fluoride treatment.  Also, eligible children who are old enough may receive dental sealants on appropriate molars to prevent future decay.

* Children who are on free or reduced lunch program are eligible if information is provided.

A note will be sent home with each child explaining what was done on the day of the visit and any problems or concerns the dentist finds.

To participate, each child must have a completed form that is dated and signed with all information filled out and easy to read and turned back in by March 1, 2010.

This years Miles of Smiles will take place from March 9-11, 2010, and possibly the 12th if needed.
