Congratulations to the following winners at the State FBLA Conference.  

1st Place - Madison Worthington - Introduction to Business Procedures

3rd Place - Grace Bailey-Electronic Career Portfolio and Andrew Derby - Hospitality Management

5th Place Jennifer Lambert- Accounting II and Maddison Dorsey- Sales Presentation

6th Place - Quinn Kirkpatrick, Haley Kuhnert and Andrea Lopez - Hospitality Management, and Haley Williams in Future Business Leader

7th Place - Megan Dale and McKenzie Sizemore - Management Decision Making

8th Place Madeline Halstead - Cyber Security

9th Place Business Law - Howard Clark and Introduction to Business Communication - Chloe Hill.

 10th Place Agribusiness - Zach Rodely and FBLA Principles and Procedures - Katilyn Simmons.

 

FBLA is a national organization that brings business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs. We attend area, state and national conferences (different state every year) allowing students to compete in various business competitions and attend leadership workshops. We participate in community service throughout the year. Some of the benefits from joining FBLA are: Scholarships, Trophies, Travel, Networking, Recognition Programs Friendship and Fun. FBLA is advised by Mrs. Denise Woodsides.

 

SIX DHS STUDENTS ARE HEADED TO FBLA NATIONALS

                                                                            

Andrew Derby, Maddison Dorsey, Jennifer Lambert, Zachary Rodely, Haley Williams and Madison Worthington all qualified to attend the National Conference in Anaheim, CA.  Students will compete in various business events and attend business professional workshops.   Students along with their Adviser, Mrs. Denise Woodsides will be leaving on June 25, 2017 and returning on July 3, 2017. Anyone that would like to assist in their journey can make donations to:  Du Quoin High School FBLA, 500 East South St., Du Quoin IL  62832.

Du Quoin High School FBLA would like to extend a special thank you to all those who have donated or assisted in any way.  We would especially like to thank Mr. Kurt Harris from Harris and Jones Law Firm for the very generous donation of $1000.
