RECOGNITION PROGRAM
Mission and Purpose of the Educational Foundation Recognition Awards Program
The District #300 Educational Foundation will annually recognize individuals associated with the DuQuoin Community Unit School District #300 or its predecessors who have distinguished themselves through their contributions to society and have done so with a sense of personal responsibility and integrity. Relevant contributions may occur in a single year or over a span of several years.
Categories of Nomination
1. Excellence in Achievement Award
...honors a prominent alumnus of District #300 who has a record of exceptional professional/career achievement.
2. Outstanding Community Citizen Award
…honors a citizen of the District #300 community who has constructively and significantly advanced the priorities of the District, the community, or the region.
3. Distinguished Service Award
…honors an alumnus of District #300 who has rendered outstanding humanitarian, charitable or community service, either professionally or through voluntary works.
4. Quality in Education Award
…honors an alumnus of District #300 or a current/former educator employed by District #300 who, through their dedication and professionalism, has inspired students academically and personally to be beneficial contributors to society.
Foundation board members and their relatives are not eligible for nomination.
