Mrs. Billie Stephens, secretary at Du Quoin High School has been posting our Daily Announcements online. To access, go to the District 300 website (www.duquoinschools.org) and click on the high school tab. This will direct you to the DHS homepage. Once on the DHS homepage find the column to the left and click on Du Quoin Office Personnel. The announcements for that day should pop up.
Though this month's character word is responsibility, those of us who have dealt with teenagers know they don't always get information to parents in a timely manner. Now you can check up on the daily reminders and announcements and hopefully not be caught off guard when your student says to you "Oh, by the way, we have organizational pictures today, I need some money".
By the way, don't forget Parent Connect. Parents can have access to their student's grades, attendance (including tardies), and any disciplinary issues that may have arisen. Check with your student's Guidance Counselor if you need information on how to access the page.
