Du Quoin High School allows students to drive to school if properly licensed. Students should remember that driving to school is a privilege and not an inherent right. Students may lose the privilege of driving to school if they violate school rules as they pertain to driving and the parking lot. Those who drive recklessly in the area of the school may lose their privileges as well.
When students register for school on their appointed time they should register their vehicle and buy a parking pass ($5). Information students need to have when they register their vehicle include: A.) A valid Illinois Driver's License, B.) Your vehicle's make, model, and production year, C.) Your vehicle's license plate number, D.) Proof of vehicle insurance, E.) $5 to pay for the parking pass.
Rules for maintaining the privilege of driving to school are enumerated in the student handbook. Du Quoin High School is interested in the health and safety of its students. Please drive carefully and follow the rules of safe driving.
