The new school year is rapidly approaching. The following are registration dates for Du Quoin High School:
Monday, August 2 New Students 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Tuesday, August 3 Seniors 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday, August 3 Juniors 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Wednesday, August 4 Sophomores 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday, August 4 Freshman 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
ALL STUDENTS MUST ATTEND REGISTRATION AT THE APPROPRIATE TIMES AND DATES LISTED. WE WILL ONLY REGISTER STUDENTS. PARENTS/GUARDIANS MAY ACCOMPANY STUDENTS, HOWEVER, THE STUDENTS MUST BE PRESENT. MANY FORMS AND INFORMATION WILL BE DISTRIBUTED DURING THIS TIME AND SCHEDULE CHANGES MUST BE MADE DURING THIS TIME.
ALL FRESHMEN MUST PRESENT A PHYSICAL BEFORE THEY WILL BE ALLOWED TO REGISTER. SPORTS PHYSICAL FORMS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR FRESHMAN REGISTRATION. STUDENTS WHO STILL NEED SHOTS HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED BY THE SCHOOL NURSE. THOSE STUDENTS WHO NEEDED SHOTS SHOULD PRESENT THOSE SHOTS AT REGISTRATION.
NEW STUDENTS TO THE DISTRICT MUST PRESENT AN OFFICIAL COPY OF THEIR BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND HEALTH RECORDS . NEW FRESHMAN TO THE DISTRICT MUST HAVE A SCHOOL PHYSICAL BEFORE BEING ALLOWED TO REGISTER. NEW STUDENTS SHOULD ALSO PROVIDE AN AFFIDAVIT OF RESIDENCYFORM, PROFF OF RESIDENCY (DRIVERS LICENSE, VOTER REGISTRATION, LEASE AGREEMENT OR BILL TO PROVE RESIDENCY, SIGNED RELEASE OF RECORDS FORM, AND PROFF OF CUSTODY.
All returning students should receive a student information registration letter in the mail prior to registration. Please make sure to fill out all appropriate forms and bring them to registration.
The following are fees for the 2010-11 School Year at Du Quoin High School:
Book Rental & Locker Fees: $58
Drivers Ed. Fees (for students taking the class): $50
Parking Sticker Fee (for students who drive to school) $5
If you wish to purchase a yearbook the price is $40 without your name on the cover and $43 with your name on the cover.
School time insurance is free to all students. This insurance covers a student during the regular school day. Twenty-four (24) hour insurance and football insurance will be available at registration. The cost is to be announced.
