National FFA week will be celebrated Monday, February 22 through Friday, February 26, 2010 at Du Quoin High School.  This week recognizes the important role the FFA has played in agricultural and vocational educational.  FFA sponsor Mr. Huntley and his dedicated members have many activities planned for the week.

On Monday members of the FFA are to wear their official dress.  Also on this day the FFA sponsored Tug-of-War competition will begin during the lunch period.  Students who wish to participate in the Tug-of-War should see a member of the FFA for more information.

On Tuesday members of the FFA should wear their FFA t-shirts to school.  The Tug-of-War competition continues during lunch.  On Wednesday exciting racing action will heat up as the FFA will sponsor tricycle races.  See FFA members for more information.  Once again, students will continue to do battle in the popular Tug-of-War competition.

On Thursday FFA members are participating in their annual truck drive.  FFA students who drive their trucks to school will be allowed to park in the good student parking areas in front of the school.  The much anticipated finals of the Tug-of-War competition will be waged at lunch.

The final day of National FFA week is Friday.  This day is a farm machinery extravaganza as the FFA students may drive their tractors to school.  Students who do so may park their tractors in the good student parking area in front of the school.  Additionally, the FFA students will cook and provide a luncheon for the teachers of Du Quoin High School.  All students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to dress like a farmer in support of the FFA.
