School Starts on Monday, August 16th
Accelerated Reading Changes for 2010-2011
AR will be changed starting with the 2010-2011 school year in order to allow for more RTI time during the school day. AR will be modified for the 2010-2011 school year as follows:
a. AR will no longer count as 20% of a students reading grade
b. Star testing will be still be used to establish a students current reading level and level of books they should be reading
c. Students will be required to read two books a quarter
d. Students will still take the AR test over the books they read. The AR test will count as a quiz grade for reading
e. Students will give report or complete a project on each book they read. The report or project will count as a test grade in reading
